Opal's Story

Opal is an 18-month-old white bully mix, about 50 lbs, looking for one specific kind of home: hers, and hers alone. She will do best in a home with no other animals.

Here's the honest version. Opal has been adopted and returned twice as a younger puppy (summer of 2025), both times because she was too much dog for the home she went to - high energy, big personality, a bit of a bull in a china shop.

She's since had training and no longer jumps, and she loves to show off her leash skills on walks. What she needs now is an active person or family who'll give her real exercise and won't expect a mellow couch dog.

With people, she's a star: friendly, attentive, affectionate on her own terms. She's not a lap dog, she's a do-things-together dog. She loves the water turn on the hose and she's the happiest girl alive....she would probably love to be around more water! She's great in public and calm around other dogs out on walks; she just doesn't want to live with them.

If you've got the energy, the yard, and a single-pet home, Opal will be a devoted companion. She's been waiting a long time for the right person. That could be you.

Our standard adoption fee is $175 and includes spay, microchip, and age appropriate vaccinations/tests. Transport options are available. Please contact us for more details and any applicable fees.
