Onyx - URGENT! Pit Bull Terrier & Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix Mansfield, OH

Hi there, the staff at the shelter named me Onyx. I came to the shelter on 11/4/14 because of an incident that really wasn't entirely my fault. Someone had found me running loose and while they were trying to restrain me, they threw a coat over my head. Well, that scared me so I bit that person on the hand. Yes, I wish I could undo that reaction but I think you can understand how much that scared me. I am hoping someone out there is willing to give me a second chance.

1-15-15, Passed his dog test. Onyx did come in very underweight and does show some signs of food aggression, we are hoping this is just because he was so skinny and will diminish as he gains weight. But because of the food aggression we are recommending no small children.

Update: Thanks to a wonderful volunteer sponsoring, Onyx is now neutered!
