Oliver's Story

12 year old Oliver joined Rescue Row in March after being found wandering the streets and later surrendered by his owners to a local animal shelter. This sweet Norwich Terrier/Yorkshire Terrier mix (our best guess!) arrived with a severe skin infection and double ear infections. He was so uncomfortable and itchy that he had scratched himself until he was bleeding. Five months later, this 16 lb boy is healthy, happy, and ready to begin his search for a forever family! During his time with his foster mom, we learned that Oliver requires prescription urinary food, which he will need to remain on going forward. Because of his allergies, he will also likely need to continue taking Apoquel. These are small accommodations for the amount of love this little guy has to give! Oliver loves being with his people, giving kisses, and curling up in your lap for an evening cuddle. He gets along well with calm dogs and cats, is housebroken, does well in the car and crate, and is great on a leash. Oliver has been through a lot, and now he deserves a family who will give him the love, care, and stability he's been waiting for.

If you'd like more information about Oliver or would like to apply to adopt him, please submit an application at info@rescuerowinc.org.

If you would like to adopt a dog from Rescue Row please fill out an application at www.rescuerowinc.org

*Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours.

*You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck

*Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row):

Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee

Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
