PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Oliver is looking for his furever home! He is very friendly with strangers, and super affectionate with his people, resting on or against them and backing it up for scratches and rubs! At home, when not relaxing in a cozy place or right by your side, Oliver LIVES for playtime and scratches. He is very comfortable in the car and enjoys being outside, whether sunbathing in the backyard or going for
walks on the greenbelt or up in the hills. His leash etiquette is improving with practice and he settles into a fairly loose–leash walk for most stretches of his walks and hikes. He is interested in passersby, but non-
reactive, preferring to sniff the trees than chase the bicycles.

Oliver is dog selective and a proper introduction would be best. He is curious, comfortable and playful with individual dogs and small groups. Oliver is an ideal dog for homebodies, people who love snuggles and treasure a close bond with their dog, and those with a yard for the boy to relax in. According to a family he
spent a weekend with, “He is very chill and simply wants a place to “be.”
He is a happy boy, but can get depressed when left alone. He lives for playing tug and just being goofy. Oliver is socially awkward with other dogs at times, but does enjoy playing in our daycare groups. He can be possessive of his food bowl and doesn't enjoy having his feet touched but we have been working on these things with him and have made some progress. Oliver would thrive in a home with a laid-back female dog. He isn't much of a fan of young, high-energy
males. I have had him overnight at my house with my three dogs, 2 of which are brothers around his age who don't get excited easily and the third is a senior female, and he did really well with all 3 of them Middle school aged children or older would be best. He has met many preschool age children while out and
about in the world and has been excellent, but with his food possessiveness it wouldn't be advisable with small children around in a home.

If Oliver sounds like the sugar in your tea please contact the shelter above.
