This sweet little gentleman may be a senior, but he still has plenty of love to give and is ready to find a family of his own.

FOSTER UPDATE: Sweet Oden has been with us for just a week, and we have learned many good things about him. He is housebroken. Yay! This 12 pound nugget fits perfectly into your arms for snuggles. He is a senior dog and knows the ropes, and has adapted to our routine. He is not intimidated by loud noises like thunderstorms. He rarely barks, but if he does look for a pesky squirrel in his sight. Oden is non-destructive and is allowed run of the house. At night he sleeps in a crate in my bedroom. His requirements are few and he's an easy dog to have around.

From the moment we met, he showed what a wonderful dog he is. He greeted me with a friendly attitude and even gave me a little kiss. We then took an hour-plus car ride home, and Odin was a perfect passenger, resting quietly in his crate the entire trip.

When he arrived, he met my resident dog and greeted him appropriately. He was curious as he explored the backyard and quickly settled into life indoors. Whether it's a dog bed, a chair, or the couch, Odin knows how to make himself comfortable. Although we don't know much about his past, it's obvious that he has lived in a home before and understands the comforts of family life.

Odin is a remarkably easy-going dog. He's happy with short walks, enjoys mealtime, sleeps well in his crate, and has a calm, relaxed personality that makes him a joy to have around. In fact, he's been one of the easiest foster dogs I've welcomed into my home.

We're still learning about Odin, including whether he is fully housebroken. For now, he wears a belly band indoors since my home has hosted many foster dogs over the years and still carries plenty of canine scents. As we continue getting to know him, we're confident he'll keep showing us what a special little guy he is.

One thing you'll notice is that Odin has some areas of sparse hair growth. He has been evaluated by veterinarians, and no medical cause has been identified. We believe that with good nutrition, proper care, and a healthy lifestyle, his coat may continue to improve over time.

What stands out most about Odin is his sweet nature. Despite whatever challenges he may have faced in the past, he remains trusting, affectionate, and eager to please. He loves people, enjoys being close to his humans, and happily accepts all the cuddles and attention you can give. If you're sitting nearby, don't be surprised if he gradually scoots closer until he's right beside you, soaking up every pet and snuggle.

Odin is looking for a loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by kindness, comfort, and companionship. In return, he'll offer unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and the quiet joy that only a truly special dog can bring.

If you're searching for a lovable, low-key companion to share your couch, your heart, and your everyday life, Odin may be the perfect match.

After everything he's been through, Odin deserves a future filled with love and once you meet him, you'll understand why everyone who knows him falls in love with him.

Foster Update 7/15 Odin my wonderful, foster dog is available for adoption. I am enjoying having him in my home. He is almost as perfect a dog as you will find. He is one of my very favorite fosters dogs. Odin is housebroken, walks well on a leash, has a great temperament, rarely barks, and eats and sleeps well. He is a senior dog but has enough energy to go on walks and even has occasional Zoomies. Odin is well behaved and has run of the house when were out. He sits next to me when I watch TV, and loves to be with his people. He gets along well with my dog but would be fine as an only dog.

Fostered in Madison.
See more on his facebook page: A & DKs Foster Dog Days

ADOPTION FEE: $450

To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION at fluffydog.net

Adopters must be 24 years of age.
