Nova's Story
Meet "Nova"!
Nova's story is one of resilience, healing, and love!
This One year 8 month old 90-pound St. Bernard/ Great Pyrenees mix came to the shelter under heartbreaking circumstances, brought in by our Humane Officer with two broken front legs. But thanks to months of dedicated care from the veterinary and kennel teams- and extra support from PVSEC Nova has made an incredible recovery.
Her casts are finally off, and she's ready to leave her past behind, and start the life she's always deserved.
Nova is the definition of a gentle giant. This big, loveable "bear" is deeply loyal and forms strong bonds with her people. After spending the last 2 months soaking up constant affection from staff, she has become quite the fan of human companionship-and she's hoping to find a home where she can keep being someone's shadow, cuddle buddy and best friend.
She's looking for a family who will continue to shower her with love, give her the patience she needs as she adjusts, and can appreciate just how special she is.
Nova had a rough start and will need her new family to help her learn some manners, she catches on really quick to routine. Nova will need to be the only dog in the family, and no children under 10.
She will need to meet all humans in the family before adoption.
