Nova's Story
Meet Nova, a young farm dog mix with Anatolian Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, Lab, and Shepherd heritage, bringing together intelligence, personality, and a fun independent streak all in one adorable package.

Nova is a playful, curious girl who enjoys exploring her surroundings and keeping an eye on everything happening around her. Shes the kind of dog who likes to stay involved and always seems ready for the next adventure. She has a vocal personality at times, especially outside, and isnt shy about expressing herself when shes excited or wants attention.

While Nova enjoys affection and attention from her people, she also has a more independent side and is happy entertaining herself nearby before checking back in for love and interaction. She does well with other dogs and adapts nicely to a busy household environment.

Nova sleeps well in the bedroom at night and settles nicely once everyone is winding down. She kennels reasonably well, though she can become loud if kenneled for extended periods, so she would do best with a family willing to continue building positive kennel routines and confidence.

Like many young dogs, Nova is still working on potty training. Some days she does wonderfully, while other days she still has accidents in the house, so her future family should be prepared to continue consistent training and structure as she matures.

Nova would thrive in a home that appreciates her smart, spirited personality and is ready to help her continue growing into a wonderful lifelong companion.

Medical & Adoption Information

Spayed/neutered
Up to date on vaccinations
Microchipped
On heartworm and flea prevention
Fecal tested

Adoption Fee: $575
This fee includes all veterinary care, grooming, and supplies, and helps support our ongoing rescue efforts for other dogs in need. As a small nonprofit, Barkin Dogs Rescue relies on adoption fees to continue providing care and taking in dogs who need us most.

Interested in adopting Nova?
Email BarkinDogsRescue@gmail.com
