Netta is sweet as sugar and good with people and other dogs. She loves snuggles, and will happily climb into your lap! When she first arrived at STAF she was a little hesitant with walking leash since we’re sure she hasn’t had much experience taking walks before coming to STAF. But with, patience, kindness and treats she soon caught on to the idea:) Now this little pumpkin channels her inner beagle and loves long walks and sniffing trails!
Here is some great feedback from a volunteer after a walk: “What a sweetheart! Netta is a very friendly, affectionate little girl. She greeted me with tail wags and nuzzles when I entered her run. She was calm and cooperative as I got her in her harness and ready for our trip to the park. Netta is still learning to walk on leash but her improvement during the course of our trip to the park was impressive. She does not pull, and once I kept her at my side moving forward, she started figuring it out quickly. Once in the park, we went for a long hike. When passing people, Netta would wait for them to express interest in saying hi to her - once they spoke to her or pet her she was thrilled to say hi with tail wagging. Netta picked up on hiking quickly and needed a little encouragement to jump over the first downed tree in our path, but after that was hopping over them tail wagging. She is a gentle soul who is medium energy and very pleasant to be around. She wiggles and hops when she gets excited but she isn't jumpy or hard to manage. Upon return to STAF, Netta stopped to say hi to every volunteer we passed. Netta waited patiently for her dinner when we returned and sat calmly while I removed her harness. She also took time to greet the neighboring dogs. Netta enjoys people and other dogs and has lots of love to give!” This same volunteer was with Netta at her television debut, check out Netta at http://www.fox19.com/clip/14426400/save-the-animals-foundation
We look forward to connecting Netta with the loving and caring home that she has always deserved..
Netta will need: A family to give her plenty of exercise to help her burn her puppy energy.
Netta will love: A fenced yard to play in and time at doggie daycare or a playmate at home. Netta will also benefit from positive based basic training.
Netta’s estimated birth date is August 2017

We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
You must be 21 years or older to adopt a dog from STAF
We require a physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog's behavior and exercise needs.
Invisible fences - Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training--we cannot adopt to homes with invisible fences unless otherwise noted in a dog's online profile.
We do request vet and personal references.
At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 75 miles of Cincinnati.
Can’t adopt but want to help? You can make a difference! Our shelter is run entirely on volunteer-power and generous donations from animal-lovers like you. 100% of your contribution goes directly to caring for our 500+ furry residents. Thank you for your support.
