You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Nellie is an 18month yorkie/silkie mix<br/><br/>Both Nellie and Nonnie (7yo mastiff) are very sweet and good with everybody.<br/><br/>Both were dumped out in the countryside; they were seen trying to survive for weeks by a local farmer. Nonnie, the mastiff was looking after Nellie. The farmer called the Colusa shelter and they were picked up showing signs of dehydration and malnutrition. They were covered in ticks and Nellie was severely matted with embedded foxtails. Thanks to the care they received at the shelter, they are good shape now to be spayed as the next step to a loving foster home or adoption together.<br/><br/>We promised to try to keep them together They are fiercely bonded due to their abandonment and survival together in the countryside. We help dogs in danger of being euthanized in kill shelters find forever homes. We transport and place into foster homes very adoptable dogs that would have been killed in the already overfull shelters. We frequently transport dogs with medical needs to UC Davis before being placed into foster homes.
