Really big.<br/><br/>Some people call them my satellite ears because they stick up so high that it looks like I'm trying to listen to conversations happening on the other side of the world. I don't mind. I think they're pretty special.<br/><br/>But what most people don't see right away is the story behind them.<br/><br/>When I was just a puppy, I didn't know where life would take me. Like so many little dogs, I found myself without the security every puppy deserves. No cozy bed. No family calling my name. No one to tell me that I was loved.<br/><br/>Thankfully, my story didn't stay that way.<br/><br/>Kind people gave me a chance.<br/><br/>They showed me patience, kindness, and what it feels like to belong. They taught me that humans can be trusted and that every day doesn't have to be spent wondering what comes next.<br/><br/>Now I'm 9 months old, 13 pounds, and full of happiness.<br/><br/>I've learned so many things along the way. I'm fully potty trained and litter box trained. I know how to be a good housemate. I love other dogs and enjoy running around, playing, and making new friends.<br/><br/>But my favorite thing?<br/><br/>Being close to my people.<br/><br/>After a fun day of adventures and playtime, there's nothing I love more than curling up beside someone I love and feeling safe.<br/><br/>I don't ask for much.<br/><br/>A warm bed.<br/><br/>A family to come home to.<br/><br/>A few belly rubs.<br/><br/>Maybe some toys.<br/><br/>And someone who will look at me every day and think, "I'm so lucky she's mine."<br/><br/>Because the truth is, that's exactly how I'll feel about them.<br/><br/>Every single day.<br/><br/>I may be a small dog, but my heart is enormous.
