I’m coming.<br/><br/>You go to another room? Wait for me!<br/><br/>You sit on the couch? Perfect—I’ll be right beside you.<br/><br/>And if there’s an available lap, well... I’m pretty sure it belongs to me. <br/><br/>I just want to be close to my human. I love cuddling, being held, following you around, and knowing that my person is right there beside me.<br/><br/>Maybe that’s why what happened at the shelter was a little harder for me.<br/><br/>I came in with my siblings.<br/><br/>At first, we were all together.<br/><br/>Then one of them was adopted.<br/><br/>Then another.<br/><br/>And another...<br/><br/>One by one, I watched my siblings leave with their new families.<br/><br/>Until eventually...<br/><br/>I was the only one left. <br/><br/>I kept waiting for my turn.<br/><br/>Maybe every time someone walked toward me, I wondered:<br/><br/>“Are you here for me?”<br/><br/>But they weren’t.<br/><br/>And I didn’t understand.<br/><br/>I had so much love to give. I wanted so badly to have someone to follow, someone to cuddle with, someone whose lap I could curl up in at the end of the day.<br/><br/>I just needed someone to choose me.<br/><br/>Then rescue came for me. <br/><br/>They told me:<br/><br/>“Littles, you weren’t left behind because nobody wanted you. Your family just hasn’t found you yet.”<br/><br/>So I’m still waiting.<br/><br/>And I’m waiting with my whole little heart. <br/><br/>I LOVE people.<br/><br/>I LOVE other dogs.<br/><br/>I’m playful, friendly, silly, affectionate, and happiest when I’m close to the people I love.<br/><br/>I’ve even been around chickens and sheep and do great with them too. Apparently these long legs make me an excellent little ranch hand! <br/><br/>I’m neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to go home.<br/><br/>But I’m not looking for just a house.<br/><br/>I’m looking for MY person.<br/><br/>Someone who wants a little shadow following them from room to room.<br/><br/>Someone who doesn’t mind sharing their couch, their lap, their blankets, and probably their pillow too. <br/><br/>Someone who wants to wake up every morning knowing there’s a tiny red puppy who thinks they are the most important person in the entire world.<br/><br/>I may have watched all of my siblings leave before me.<br/><br/>But being the last one doesn’t mean I was the least lovable.<br/><br/>Maybe I was just waiting a little longer because I’m supposed to find someone very special. <br/><br/>So if you’re reading this and you’ve been wishing for a little best friend...<br/><br/>A cuddle bug.<br/><br/>A shadow.<br/><br/>A tiny boy with ridiculously long legs and an enormous heart...<br/><br/>Maybe you’ve been looking for me.<br/><br/>And maybe I’ve been waiting for you. <br/><br/>Love,<br/>Littles
