Mr. Bubble Bee Sparrow

Hi, I'm Sparrow... and this is my story. <br/><br/>Hi everyone. My name is **Sparrow**.<br/><br/>I'm only about 6 months old, and I weigh just 6 pounds. My mom is a Pomeranian mix, so we know I have some Pomeranian in me, and my foster best guess is I am mix with cairn terrier. I guess that makes me my own special little combination! I have soft white fur with beautiful brindle spots and the cutest little curly tail. <br/><br/>I'm already **neutered, up to date on my vaccines, microchipped, crate trained, and litter box trained**. We didnt know what it was like to have a home, our own bed, toys to play with, or someone whose only job was to love us.<br/><br/>Our coats were badly matted. We were covered in **fleas and ticks**, and painful **foxtails were tangled and embedded in our fur**.<br/><br/>And I was still just a baby. <br/><br/>I didn't know there was another kind of life waiting for me.<br/><br/>Then one day, everything changed.<br/><br/>**Animal Control found us, and we were rescued.** <br/><br/>For the first time, people were looking at me with kindness instead of walking past me.<br/><br/>I was cleaned up. The fleas and ticks were removed. My painful, dirty coat was taken care of.<br/><br/>And underneath everything that had happened to me was still a sweet little puppy who simply wanted to feel safe.<br/><br/>Now I'm learning something I should have been learning all along...<br/><br/>**How to be a puppy.** <br/><br/>I'm learning about toys.<br/><br/>I'm learning how wonderful it feels to run and play.<br/><br/>I'm learning that other dogs can be my friends.<br/><br/>And most importantly, I'm learning that **people can be kind.** <br/><br/>That last part still takes me a little time.<br/><br/>When I first meet someone, I may stand back and watch. I might be a little hesitant because I need to make sure Im safe.<br/><br/>Please be patient with me.<br/><br/>Because once I realize youre kind, something changes...<br/><br/>**I become your little shadow.** <br/><br/>I follow you around. I want to be close to you. My playful little personality comes out, and you finally get to meet the real Sparrow who was hiding behind all that uncertainty.<br/><br/>I love people, and I do wonderfully with other dogs. After everything I've been through, I still have so much love inside this tiny 6-pound body.<br/><br/> <br/>My old life was inside a crowded little pen.<br/><br/>**I don't want my story to end there.**<br/><br/>I want to know what it feels like to have my own family.<br/><br/>I want a warm bed, toys scattered around the house, little adventures, belly rubs, and someone who smiles when they see me.<br/><br/>I want to fall asleep knowing that when I wake up tomorrow, **I'll still be safe. I'll still be wanted. And Ill still be home.** <br/><br/>I don't need a perfect family.<br/><br/>I just need someone patient enough to give me a little time and loving enough to show me that my past is behind me.<br/><br/>My name is **Sparrow**.<br/><br/>I survived the beginning of my story.<br/><br/>**Now I'm ready for someone special to help me write the rest of it.**
