Mr. Bean's Story
Mr. Bean is a 3-year-old French Bulldog who came into rescue after being found as a stray. When he was found, he had no collar, tags, or microchip and was unneutered, underweight, covered in fleas and ticks, and dealing with a skin infection. He has since received the care he needed, including neutering and vaccinations, and is doing so much better.

After Mr. Bean was found, significant efforts were made for over two weeks to locate his owner. He was posted in numerous places, calls were made, and every avenue we could think of was pursued to try to find his family. During that entire time, nobody came forward to claim him.

After 16 days of these efforts, a woman reached out and said that Mr. Bean belonged to her granddaughter. She explained that she was 75 and did not really use Facebook, and that her daughter had apparently not posted him as missing. From the conversations, it became clear that the family did not want Mr. Bean back and that the person who reached out was not actually his owner and could not make that decision for them.

Because we now knew there was potentially an owner, Scout’s Street Smart Rescue gave the alleged owner an additional three days to contact the rescue. They were given the opportunity to say they wanted Mr. Bean back, provide proof of ownership, veterinary records, photographs, or anything else that would establish ownership and allow the rescue to work with them. Nobody contacted us.

After those additional three days passed with no contact, no proof of ownership, and no attempt to reclaim him, Mr. Bean was officially declared under the care of Scout’s Street Smart Rescue.

And now, thankfully, this little guy gets to move forward.

Mr. Bean is SO much fun. He is a funny, higher-energy Frenchie who loves to run around and play. Give him a ball and he will happily fetch it all day long! He is good with other dogs, doesn’t care about cats, and is good with kids. He is house trained and crate trained, and his marking improved significantly after being neutered and given some structure.

He has really come into his own in foster care and is such a fun little guy to have around. Mr. Bean would love a home that will appreciate his goofy personality, keep him active, play plenty of fetch, and be committed to him for the rest of his life.

Mr. Bean is officially available for adoption through Scout’s Street Smart Rescue.

Adoption Application:
https://airtable.com/appklteyg5w2e0fmu/shrY8RxQc1KxQYCuv

Glenolden, PA 19036
KL#19083
