Josie is a 7 year old, gorgeous Goldendoodle. She is Spayed, has had regular vetting, and all shots are up to date. She is a big girl at 112 lbs. NO VERY SMALL KIDS PLEASE.

We are looking for a special person for this beautiful girl. She does not like to be crated or enclosed and can be a bit of an escape artist. It would be best to have someone home a good deal of the time. Josie is 90% lovable but can be 10% unpredictable. She has guarding behavior with objects at times and has been known to get into the garbage or get soap or jewelry left around,if not vigilant. Then the treat bribe does work but she will need some training or patience and persistence!

Her owner felt most of her behaviors are due to their lack of time with her, although she is definitely an alpha female and will need a firm but loving trainer. Josie has been going to doggy day care one day a week and plays well with the group. She loves to be petted and will "hit" you with her paw to have you keep going. She loves treats and can be bribed away from things. She loves walks, too. She has been exercised in the past by running along side a bike or walking on a treadmill. She likes to be active.

The perfect home for her would be someone with the time to spend with her. Experience with big willful dogs a plus. A FULLY FENCED YARD (No e-fence please) is a must. No small kids or cats as her size will knock them down. She gets along with other dogs and loves to play but keep in mind she is Alpha and would not do well with another Alpha dog. But we would like to see her with another playful dog.

She would be a good companion for walkers. She may be too out of shape for agility training but she is very athletic.
