This happy, adorable one-year-old French Bulldog came from a heartbreaking backyard breeding and hoarding situation where she spent nearly all of her life confined to a crate, but she hasn't let her past define her. Instead, she's blossomed into an incredibly sweet, affectionate little girl who absolutely adores people. Whether she's snuggled in your lap or being carried around like the baby she fully thinks she is, Miss Nanners simply wants to be as close to the people she loves as possible. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playing and wrestling with her canine friends, but she doesn't need another dog to be happy. What she really needs is companionship. A home where someone is around much of the day would be perfect, because more than anything, Miss Nanners wants to be part of the family. She has an easygoing personality with the occasional burst of zoomies, rides well in the car, is crate trained, and is continuing to make great progress with her house manners and leash skills. After such a difficult beginning, Miss Nanners is ready to discover what it means to be cherished forever. She's looking for a family with a yard, plenty of love to give, and room on the couch and in their hearts for one very special little girl. If you're looking for a loyal, cuddly best friend who will love you with her whole heart, Miss Nanners is ready to meet you!<br/><br/>Medical issues: possible allergy to chicken, had skin issues on her feet when first came into the shelter - they have since resolved<br/><br/>Crate size recommended: 36<br/><br/>Good with women: Yes<br/>Good with men: Yes<br/>Good with kids: Yes<br/>Good with other dogs: Yes<br/>Good with cats: Unknown<br/>House trained: has occasional accidents - did use pee pads initially before she felt comfortable to potty outside<br/>Crate trained: Yes<br/>Energy level: lower medium. Has occasional zoomies, but prefers to either wrestle with her doggie friend or just be near her person<br/>Can be handled/touched: Yes, loves to be carried like a baby<br/>Barker: not a nuisance barker. Typically will let out a bark if she needs something or some strange noise startles her<br/>Flight risk: all dogs should be considered a flight risk initially<br/>Food aggressive: no, but all dogs are fed in crates here<br/>Current food: Diamond naturals sensitive skin kibble<br/>Walks on leash: working on it<br/>Leash reactive to people or dogs: no<br/>Rides well in car: yes<br/>Destructive: no<br/>Needs a home with a yard: yes<br/>Needs a home with another dog: would do fine with another dog or with someone that works from home.
