Minnie Oct 25's Story

Date into Rescue: 10/26/2025
Reason for being in rescue: Minnie was surrendered to a NC shelter by her owners. It was her luckiest day!
Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC
Special Needs? Minnie is a small doodle of unknown background. She's pretty naked in her photos. Minnie arrived in rescue with hair so long and matted and painful we had no choice but to shave it completely off. We cannot guarantee that she is hypoallergenic or that she won't shed.
Weight: 31 lbs
Height: in
Spayed/Neutered: Yes

Adoption Fee: $699

Fence needed? No

What kind of home would be best for me? Minnie thrives on connection and simply isn’t happy when left alone. When separated from her people, she’ll express her feelings through a few heartfelt songs — yes, she loves to “sing the song of her people.” For this reason, Minnie absolutely requires a stand-alone home and would not be suitable for an apartment or condo, where her vocal stylings might not be appreciated by neighbors.

She would do best in a home where her family is home more often than not, such as someone who works from home, is retired, or can include her in daily life. Minnie isn’t a dog who wants to sit on the sidelines — she wants to be part of your day, every day.

Minnie gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys canine company, but she doesn’t necessarily need another dog in the home. Her heart truly belongs to her humans — she’s happiest when she has all eyes (and hands for petting) on her.

What is my personality like? Minnie is a loving and sweet Poodle mix whose favorite thing in the whole world is... YOU! YOU! YOU! This affectionate little girl lives for human companionship and wants nothing more than to be by your side. Whether you’re making coffee, watching TV, or working from home, Minnie will be right there keeping you company and soaking up every bit of attention she can get.

Minnie is calm and gentle in her play, not overly rambunctious, but she has endless energy when it comes to attention and affection. She’ll happily follow you from room to room, ready for snuggles or a soft spot by your side.

Minnie is looking for a patient, loving home that will help her continue learning the basics of home life. She’s still mastering routines and may need time to settle in as she adjusts to her new environment. But her eagerness to please and her love for people will make her a quick learner.
She doesn’t meet a stranger — Minnie loves everyone she meets and greets each person with joy and enthusiasm. With her sweet heart, gentle spirit, and devotion to her humans, she’s sure to bring love and laughter to her forever home.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will adore you unconditionally and keep you company through every moment of your day, Minnie is the perfect match. She’s more than a pet — she’s a true best friend in the making.

How do I act when I first meet new people? Minnie is a sweetheart that never meets a stranger.

Other tips and tidbits: Minnie is estimated at 3 years old. We celebrate her birthday 10/26/2022.

House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
