She is larger than your average bichon at about 20 pounds and lived the first seven years of her life as a breeder. Upon arriving to fluffy dog rescue, Mesa was extremely nervous and often would scurry away quickly if anyone looked at her, approached or came near her. Over time we have seen great progress with her and we are so proud of her! <br/><br/>This beautiful girl has settled in with us so well and has built a lot of confidence, although she does still have a long way to go. As an outsider, someone would still see a shy, timid dog, but we have seen her grow and know all the potential that she has! We see Mesas progress each day and we cant wait to continue seeing her personality blossom. She loves being around other dogs and often will engage in playing with them. Sometimes we will catch her getting the zoomies and it is the cutest thing ever! However, once she notices someone watching she acts shy again, which we just find endearing and hilarious. One of her favorite activities is sprawling out on a cot, chewing on a bone. She loves cozy spots to lay down and get comfortable! She is a low energy dog and we think she would likely just enjoy lounging around with some toys and be perfectly content.<br/><br/>Mesa will be apprehensive and nervous with new people and new places, but we have already seen progress with her time in our care and know that she will gain trust and confidence when she finds her forever home. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. We do not guarantee dog breeds.<br/>WI License #270548.
