At 7 years old and 20 pounds, Mesa is a breeder release dog who is experiencing the comforts of human companionship for the first time. <br/><br/>Mesa is low energy and tends to move through the world slowly and carefully. She is not the kind of dog who rushes up to strangers demanding attention. Instead, she takes her time learning to trust. But once she feels safe, she truly enjoys being petted and loved on, and there is something incredibly rewarding about earning affection from a dog like her.<br/><br/>She has a very pretty face and the most expressive eyes — the kind that seem to tell a story without saying a word. Mesa also arrived with a wound on her neck, but with proper care and time, it has healed beautifully.<br/><br/>Living in a home will all be new to Mesa, so she will need adopters who understand that patience and kindness go a long way.
