May's Story

Meet May!

- Age : 2 years old (DOB : May 2024)
- Gender : Female (Spayed)
- Breed : Jindo & Welsh Corgi mixed
- Weight : 15.43lbs (7kg)
- Currently in.. Whittier, CA

Meet May!

May is a sweet, resilient girl who was found abandoned in South Korea. When her former owners moved away, they left May and her “roommate”, Ppomi, behind. May had been tied on a very short leash in a hidden corner of the property, so she wasn’t discovered until a rescuer began caring for Ppomi.

Tragically, Ppomi was in end-stage heartworm disease and passed away shortly after rescue. May also tested positive for heartworm. Because the rescuer already had many rescue dogs at home, May couldn’t come inside right away. Instead, she was cared for daily where she was, with a longer lead, fresh water, and good meals. Not long after, the rescuer noticed an unneutered male dog roaming the neighborhood and seeking May out, and decided it was no longer safe to leave her outside. May was brought into rescue immediately and received full veterinary care. Her heartworm treatment is complete, and she is now fully vaccinated and spayed. In April, May traveled to Los Angeles to find her forever family and is currently thriving in a loving foster home.

May is gentle, calm, and very considerate with other dogs. She lived peacefully alongside larger Jindo dogs without ever causing trouble. She’s the kind of pup who patiently waits her turn for meals and affection. In the yard she loves to play, but indoors she relaxes quietly and keeps her space neat. She is 100% house-trained as an outdoor potty dog and reliably does her business on walks (typically 2–3 outings per day). She’s also very smart. After watching her foster brother practice cues like “sit” and “paw,” May started copying along!

With her soft white coat and adorable short legs, May is ready to be someone’s best friend for life. She’s looking for a family who will gently show her the love she missed early on and feel proud of the wonderful dog she’s become.

*If you reside outside of [CA] state, an additional transportation fee may apply.
