With his adorable face, goofy personality, and endless love to give, this handsome boy is all treats and absolutely no tricks!

Max is super playful, affectionate, and full of puppy charm! He gets along great with kids, cats, and other dogs. He absolutely loves playing with his doggy friends, although he can be a little timid when playtime gets too wild. If the other dogs get a little too rowdy, Max would rather step away and let everyone else burn off that extra energy!

And underneath that big, playful personality is one sensitive sweetheart! His foster recently watched him trying his hardest to keep up with another dog during playtime. When he couldn’t catch his buddy, Max actually started crying in frustration! Applications must be approved before scheduling a meet and greet.

https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PDAR/Dog

Most of our dogs are rescued from high-intake shelters or straight off the streets in South Texas, where packs of stray animals run loose. Your adoption fee directly covers the significant costs required to bring these dogs to safety. We are a registered nonprofit rescue, and any excess revenue goes directly toward treating animals with major medical needs who would otherwise be left behind and euthanized.

Your adoption fee fully covers:

Transport: Safe transport from Texas to our local foster homes (this cost alone is $200 to $230 per dog).

Vetting & Preventive Care: Spay or neuter surgery (if old enough), core vaccines, deworming, a heartworm test (if old enough), and a microchip.

VCA Medical Partnership:

Every adoption includes a complimentary first exam at any participating VCA Animal Hospital within the first 14 days. VCA also provides a limited health guarantee (up to $250) for minor illnesses, like kennel cough or ear infections, diagnosed during that initial two-week window.

Important Rescue Policies

No Foster-to-Adopt Program: We do not offer a foster-to-adopt option. The majority of our dogs are already settled into loving local foster homes, and we aim to minimize unnecessary moves for their emotional well-being. Additionally, our rescue insurance policy strictly prohibits it.

Breed and Size Guarantees: We cannot guarantee the breed mix or adult size of any dog in our care. Listed breeds are our best guess based on physical traits and personality. Because our dogs are rescues with unknown histories, we cannot guarantee that a dog is not mixed with pit bull. This is a standard reality of adopting a rescue animal.

Stay Connected!

For rescue updates, happy tails, and to see our latest adoptable dogs, you can follow us on Facebook:

https://share.google/S0mftiOuZYToqromm

Paws Deep Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step to adoption, once you have identified a pet you would like to adopt, is to fill out an adoption application. You can speed up the adoption process by calling your vet ahead of time to give us permission to speak to them in regards to your current and past pets. You will be contacted to schedule an interview and a meet and greet after the adoption contract is approved.. We will need proof of age with a form of ID. Once we have gotten approval that you are allowed to have pets where you live, your adoption application is approved, the pet is altered, and adoption payment is received, only then will the animal be released. Some pets may be able to go home the day after adoption contract is approved others it could be a week. If the animal is deemed too young to be altered we will have the adopter sign a spay and neuter contract. The animal will need to be neutered when it is 6 months old and we will need proof provided to us by a licensed veterinarian. Once there is proof provided, the rescue will reimburse $100 of the adoption fee. If there is more than one qualifying approved applicant that is a match then the applicant who first inquired will get the opportunity to meet the pet and decide if they want to adopt before it goes to the next person in line. Note: Some animals will require home inspections or a fenced yard. Applying for a dog does not mean automatic approval. We reserve the right to deny applications. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_j7Qyk269a7uzMcOh1Ffx3PU9femw7Xd3t-Nj8TOfBE/edit Follow us on TikTok: @pawsdeepanimalrescue
