Max's Story

Hi, my name is Max,

Male - neutered
St. Bernard x Mastiff Mix
Approx. 1 year, 6 months old

Hello, future family! I'm the longest resident at the Georgina Animal Shelter, having arrived here in April 2025. My biggest wish this holiday season is to finally find my forever home.

I'm a cheerful and lovable goofball who sometimes forgets just how big I am, but always in the most delightful way. I have a talent for striking a pose, especially when there's a treat involved. No matter the occasion, I'm always a sight to behold! I adore going for walks and love to bring my favourite stuffed toy along for the adventure. If you're up for some outdoor fun, just watch my tail wag with joy!

While I am full of energy and love, I truly thrive in a quieter home environment without young children or other animals. Such a setting helps me relax and allows me to be the best companion I can be.

If you're looking for a loyal friend who will bring endless joy to your life, I'm the perfect match for you. Let's make my holiday wish come true!

Georgina Animal Shelter and Adoption Centre's Adoption Policy
We at the Georgina Animal Shelter strive to find the best possible outcomes for the homeless cats and dogs that enter our care care. The majority of pets we receive have no known medical or behaviour histories. Each pet is continually assessed throughout its time in our care. All pets receive an individualized animal welfare plan including spaying/neutering, vaccinations, anti-parasitic treatments, nutritional plan and any other medical treatments or behvaiour modifications deemed necessary. Temperament and personality assessments allow us to better match pets with potential adopters. Completing a detailed adoption questionnaire helps to ensure that we are matching perspective adopters with the pet that is best suited to their home environment and lifestyle. We want each adoption to be a success and pride ourselves in providing a transparent and thorough adoption process. To ensure adoption compatibility, follow up calls and/or emails are provided to each adopter to ensure that the transition of their new pet into their home is successful. If you would like to inquire about a pet that is available for adoption, contact us at 1-800-898-8606 or email us at animal-control@georgina.ca to learn more. Adoption Fees: Cats $175 + HST Dogs $300 + HST In addition the purchase of a license is required for all dogs being adopted within the municipalities we serve and for cats residing in the town of Newmarket and Aurora. **Prices vary** Cats: https://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?animal=cat&shelter_id=ON53 Dogs: https://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?animal=dog&shelter_id=ON53 We believe in advocating for responsible pet ownership and the life long commitment of pet adoption.
