Meet Max

Meet MAX.... He is a 5 year old Jack Russel/Wired hair terrier mix boy, 18 lbs, who was surrendered to us because the new wife of the previous owner didn't want dogs in the house and so they got kicked out in a dirt pen in the yard. Max got surrendered with his female companion Maggie. They are very bonded but due to the fact that they are very scared of everything new they are depending so much on each other that in their case it can be a hold back for them to get out of their comfort zone and explore new things.
Means it would be not a terrible thing to break them up and adopt them out separate but they are also available as a pair.

Maggie is the more outgoing one of the two while Max is her follower.

Maggie is a Jack Russel Terrier, also 5 years old, 16 lbs.
Max is currently going through his heartworm treatment, which is fully taken care of by our organization. No side effects are expected and it will not hinder him from a happy and active life.

Both of them have no leash experience and we are looking for a home with a fenced in yard. The reason why is they won't go outside to potty if their only chance to go outside is on a leash which is frightening to them. So one step at the time and there can not be an exception made.

They are crate trained and have no potty accidents in a crate. Both love to snuggle and are very sweet and gentle dogs.
We don't know how they are with cats, potentially great but they are very intimidated by other dogs but will adjust and come around.
We are looking for a home with no small children. They do very well with small children but younger active and loud children might make them nervous and intimidated. Older Children 10+ will be best.

Those two are amazing they are just very sad and heartbroken and in need of a real and loving home.

If you would like to meet Max and his friend Maggie or just one of them, please send us a message in order to receive an application. We are only able to meet with approved applicants by appointment.

Our adoption fee is $ 350 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test ( treatment), spay and neuter and micro chip. We of course offer a discounted adoption fee if they get adopted as a pair.
