Max Hound & Shepherd Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hi There! My name is Max, and I am a 2-year-old neutered male Hound/Shepherd mix looking for an active household that will make sure I receive plenty of exercise and love forever.

I am very sweet, and once I know you I love to cuddle and will give you kisses! I also LOVE car rides and spending time with you. A home with a fenced in yard would be perfect for me because I like to run outside and we could have a great time playing together. I have a lot of energy, so the best part of my day is going for long walks around the neighborhood. My dog walkers tell me that I am very alert to everything that is happening around me, and that I am getting better on leash with each walk. They also tell me that I am a good boy and give me treats, which I love!

I was surrendered to the shelter for not doing well with young children, but I received fantastic scores on all of my shelter safer tests. I have not gone to formal obedience classes, however, I do know sit, stay, I am housebroken, I take treats gently, and I am very smart. I WILL need a firm handler, but I am anxious to please you and I LOVE hotdogs which makes it easy for me to learn everything I need to know in order to be a well mannered member of your family.

I am currently enjoying time on a more quiet side of the building. When you are at the shelter, just let a member of our staff know that you would like to meet me and they will be happy to introduce me to you, and to answer any questions that you might have.
