This handsome 4-year-old boy is about 50% Treeing Walker Coonhound, and he proudly embraces all the classic hound traits. He loves tracking scents, keeping an eye on the wildlife in the yard, and when he finds something interesting, his excitement is impossible to miss!<br/><br/>Like many hounds, Maverick is highly food motivated, isn’t afraid to use his voice, and loves following his nose wherever it leads. He’s currently living in a foster home with one of our trainers, where he has learned the structure and skills he needs to succeed. Maverick is fully e-collar trained and will thrive with a family committed to continuing the training methods and routines that help him live his best life.<br/><br/>Maverick is looking for a home that can provide consistency, clear boundaries, and a confident leader. He’s an active, intelligent dog who needs both physical exercise and mental enrichment to stay happy, so he’s not looking for a couch-potato lifestyle. In return, he’ll be a loyal and devoted companion.<br/><br/>One of Maverick’s favorite things? Other dogs! He absolutely loves canine companionship and enjoys spending his days running and playing with his foster siblings.<br/><br/>Maverick would do best in a quieter home with older children, teenagers, or adults who can continue providing the structure and guidance he needs.
