Absolutely No Concept of Personal Space.<br/><br/>If you've ever wanted a 100+ pound best friend who will love you with his whole heart (and possibly his whole body), Mater is your guy!<br/><br/>Mater is an approximately 18-month-old Great Dane/Mastiff mix with a goofy personality, a curious nature, and all the grace of a baby giraffe. He's friendly, affectionate, and absolutely loves his people. He's the kind of dog who doesn't just want to be part of your family. He wants to be right there beside you, soaking up every belly rub and bit of attention you're willing to give.<br/><br/>Mater is still figuring out this whole indoor dog thing, and he's off to a great start. He hasn't had a single potty accident in his foster home, despite spending most of his life outside. He's still learning his manners, though, and sometimes forgets just how much dog he is.<br/><br/>He loves playing with other dogs, but his enthusiasm can be a little overwhelming. Imagine a giant toddler who hasn't quite figured out that not everyone appreciates a full-contact friendship.<br/><br/>Mater's ideal family will have a good sense of humor, plenty of patience, and a willingness to help him channel all that big-dog energy. He's still young and has a lot to learn, but he's also got so much love to give. With some consistency, guidance, and a family committed to helping him succeed, this goofy guy will make one lucky family an incredible companion.<br/><br/>Most of all, Mater is looking for someone who will love him just as fiercely as he'll love them. Because once this big guy decides you're his person, you're going to have one very devoted (and very large) best friend.<br/><br/>Adoption Fee: $495
