MARVIN

Marvin spent many a cold night outside, living at a local police precinct. This friendly boy decided to rescue himself by hopping into his rescuers car. He is very people-oriented and follows his person around with devotion. He works for treats and is mastering “sit”, “settle” and “kennel”. Marvin is not a hyper dog, but he does have a lot of energy. He needs a good outlet for this - working, training, walks and playtime.

Marvin has started learning basic agility and loves it! He will jump, go through tunnels and do a teeter. So it would be great if his new family could keep him going with this. And he absolutely loves splashing around in water - we think he would love somewhere with a pond, a pool or the beach with this. He is a 55lb pit mix, about 3 years old, neutered, UTD on vaccinations and heartworm negative as of 1/25

*Fine with other dogs, but needs one with similar energy. He can roughhouse sometimes so he needs a dog of similar size. He would be okay as an only dog too.
*Okay with cats, but does want to play and pounce. So he needs to be supervised and with a cat that has been around dogs and will tell him to back off
*Good with people; sometimes jumps up on people but is working hard at other behaviors and doing well. Probably better without kids or older kids.
*Kennel trained
*Needs a secure fence and a large yard
