Marshall's Story

Meet Marshall — the happiest boy with the biggest smile!

Marshall recently arrived in our care in pretty rough shape — covered in fleas, scars, fresh wounds and painful mats, and desperately needing some good food and TLC. We’re still getting to know this handsome boy, but even in the short time he’s been with us, he has already shown us what an incredibly special dog he is.

Despite everything he’s been through, Marshall is so excited to see people and has been an absolute joy to have around. He’s calm, smart, eager to please, and just an all-around wonderful dog. He absolutely loves people, rides great in the car, and walks beautifully on a leash.

Marshall is also a pretty fun guy! He loves playing fetch with tennis balls, knows sit and drop it, and is gentle when taking treats and food. He was incredibly patient for his very first bath and grooming appointment.

And speaking of grooming... Marshall came to us with so much matted fur that I’ve brushed and cut at least 5 pounds of fur and mats off this poor guy. He looks (and clearly feels!) so much better now.

He’s also an absolute dream in his crate. He walks right in, lays down, and settles in without a peep.

But my favorite thing about Marshall? When he’s happy, he scrunches up his nose and gives you the biggest, goofiest toothy smile. It’s impossible not to smile right back.

We may still be learning about Marshall, but one thing is already very clear: this boy has a heart of gold. After whatever he’s been through, he still chooses to trust people, be happy, and soak up every bit of love he can get.

Now we just need to find him the family who will make sure the rest of his life is every bit as good as he deserves.

Marshall is ready to start his next chapter.

1.5 years old
65 lbs
Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix
Loves people
Loves fetch
Knows sit & drop it
Great in the car & on leash
Crate trained
