Meet Marlie
Hello World! My name is Marlie and I am a 3 year old, 55 lb pit mix. I had a rough life as I gave birth and someone took my puppies and left me on the side of the road. Because of that I was not getting the proper nutrition I needed and it started to affect my hair and skin. Since being in my foster home my hair and skin has made a drastic improvement and I am just about back to a healthy dog! I do seem to sneeze a lot when I am outside (but who in Kansas doesn’t!) so my foster mom thinks I may have some allergies. However, the sneezing has improved since getting proper care and we are hoping it could just be due to my past!
I live in a foster home with a mom, dad, 2 kids and 3 other dogs! My foster mom says that my biggest flaw is that I want to love too much! I love to give kisses and cuddle up next to you!
I am working on walking on a leash and going to my kennel. The kennel scares me a little as I think it means you’re leaving me but I am quickly learning that it is just my own space and my foster family will always return and let me out!
Recently, I learned to use the doggie door at my foster house and have been trying to use that more and more. It helps that I have other dogs in the house to teach me what to do!
I could live in a house as an only dog with an active family but really would love to have another friend to play with!
I am up to date on my shots and spayed.
