Marigold is an 11 pound, 6 month old Poodle mix. She is a sweet, playful, adventurous and cuddly little girl. She was born with some minor birth defects that do not stop her from being a sweet, active and loving companion.. She requires few if any special accommodations and the most emphasis is on building her confidence and trust, which is already happening. <br/><br/>Marigold is fostered in Sherwood, Oregon. <br/><br/>She loves playing with another dog, playing with squeaky toys, spending time in the yard, running on trails, going to the river. napping with the big dog on the dog bed by eve, and life at home. <br/><br/>She is close to 100% house trained on a good schedule, rides well in the car, gets along with other friendly dogs. She can navigate a primitive trail, the riverbank, and a hop up to a bridge like a pro. She loves toys, the yard, a playmate, love and cuddling. <br/><br/>Marigold was born to a backyard breeder and kept confined outside the house. She was not shown much attention or affection, and may have been treated less than kindly. This makes her a very deserving little girl to offer a great life and lots of love. She is still getting used to being a beloved pet, and over time she enjoys more pets, being picked up and sleeping on the couch or on your lap. She loves to sleep in a human bed or nearby. We will send you her exam results in advance and are happy to talk more about her congenital issues. <br/><br/>Her focal vision is not 100% normal and she toes under a bit on her back legs. Overall, there has been only improvement since she was first seen at a vet at 6 weeks and more since coming to rescue, She has gained lots of muscle mass and great coordination and rugged play. Marigold, or "Goldie" is able to navigate stairs, a house, a ramp, a primitive trail and a hop up onto a rustic bridge. She can play very actively with another pup and she loves to nap or sleep on or near her person. <br/><br/>Marigold is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and de-wormed. Her adoption fee is $400. We are happy to pay for a neurological exam and have one scheduled for September 10. She is on a waitlist for an earlier appointment. She can be fostered to adopt until then, or adopted outright.<br/><br/>A great home for Marigold is a home with an adopter who wants to give this deserving puppy a great life. <br/>We seek: <br/>1. An owned or stable renter home with a securely fenced yard. <br/>2. Folks not gone long hours. <br/>3. Another playful or nice dog of any size would be icing on her adoption cake but not required. <br/>4. We do not know how she would do with children, but we think that a little boy in her breeder's family may not have been so nice to her, so we would want folks who are up for making sure that she is very comfortable and happy in their family and home. <br/>5.
