She has never lived in a home, so this whole new world is going to take some getting used to. Her new family will need to give her time, patience, and plenty of reassurance as she learns that she is finally safe.<br/><br/>A confident, friendly dog in her new home would be incredibly helpful. Mirabella can watch her canine friend and learn from them—where to go, how to interact with people, how to enjoy a cozy bed, and all the other things that dogs who have grown up in homes take for granted. She will also need a securely fenced yard. Mirabella has never been on a leash, so a fenced area will give her a safe place to explore and gain confidence without putting her at risk.<br/><br/>Mirabella isn't looking for a family who expects her to be perfect right away. She's looking for someone who will give her the time she needs to blossom.<br/><br/>UPDATES:<br/>9/17 Poor girl had 15 teeth pulled today. She is doing well, but that's a rough day.<br/><br/>10/10 FOSTER UPDATE:<br/>My foster family says my true spirit is starting to shine through, and let me tell you, I am just bottom-line so very sweet. I didn't have the best start in life before the amazing volunteers at Fluffy Dog Rescue saved me, but I am learning every day that the world can be a wonderful, safe place.<br/><br/>I am a gentle, quiet little girl who is just starting to discover that classic Shih Tzu fortitude. Now that I am all caught up on my medical care and back up to a healthy 6 pounds, I am ready to find a forever home where I can continue to bloom!<br/><br/>My Current Favorites & Milestones:<br/>• Dog Friendly: I am absolutely great with both big and little dogs! Having a confident canine helper in the home could really help me continue learning how to be a pampered family pet.<br/>• The Spa Treatment: Believe it or not, I am becoming a total bath lover! I find them relaxing and get more comfortable with grooming every single day.<br/>• Stroller Safaris: I absolutely love going for walks in my stroller. It lets me take in all the sights, sounds, and smells of the neighborhood while feeling completely safe and secure.<br/>• Crate Champion: I am a dream at night! I sleep quietly and peacefully in my crate until morning.<br/>• Learning to Trust: I am starting to realize how wonderful humans are. I've even started taking brave little steps to voluntarily walk right up to my foster mama for some love!<br/><br/>My Perfect Forever Home: <br/>Because I am a survivor of a breeding facility, everyday household things can still look a little big and scary to me. I am looking for a patient, loving family who understands that I might take a little time to completely settle in.<br/>• A Patient, Predictable Environment: A calm home routine will help me feel secure while I learn to navigate house life.<br/>• Patience with Leash Training: Since I currently prefer the royalty treatment in my stroller, my new family will need to help me gently transition to walking on a leash at my own pace.<br/>• Endless Love: In return for your patience, I promise to reward you with a lifetime of gentle companionship, quiet affection, and the immense joy of watching my brave little heart open up.<br/><br/><br/>Read more on Facebook at MB Foster and Love<br/><br/>ADOPTION FEE: $750<br/><br/>To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION at fluffydog.net<br/><br/>Adopters must be 24 years of age.
