He is thought to be an American Bully/French Bulldog mix and is ready to wiggle his way into your heart and home. To be considered, apply at the link below:<br/>www.doggedly.org/adoption-app<br/><br/>Manwhich’s tragic story begins in Texas, where he was abandoned by his owner and left tied to a picnic table in the blazing heat. He was underweight, covered in urine stains and was timid, but so grateful to be rescued. It’s hard to imagine what he suffered through prior to his rescue journey at barely a year old. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan brought him to the care of our rescue where he has thrived in foster care the last few months. He is now ready for the next chapter of his new life!<br/><br/>We can’t say enough good things about this adorable little guy. Manwich has a larger-than-life personality that keeps us laughing constantly. As a young, energetic dog with the capacity and drive for training, he would love to find an interactive home that can provide plenty of attention, physical and mental exercise (this guy loves to work for treats, play fetch, etc), and most importantly... snacks. Did we mention cheese is his love language? Smart as a whip, Manwhich learns quickly. He knows how to sit, is great on leash and will do just about anything for a treat. He's cuddly, affectionate, and will happily curl up in your lap-or your bed-after a long day of play. He is a very interactive dog and would be perfect for an owner looking for a constant companion for hikes, trips to the beach and trips to the pub or coffee shop, as he is an exceptionally social boy in public settings. <br/><br/>This playful boy adores toys and loves a good bone to gnaw away on or a crinkly stuffy toy to carry around in his mouth. His greatest love is chasing a tennis ball and his arch nemesis is the evil water hose! He doesn’t love his kennel time, but will tolerate it as long as he gets a big, fluffy bed and a toy (or a bunch of toys) to play with. His favorite activity after his morning walk and breakfast is to chew on a toy while laying upside down with his paws in the air. He often falls asleep this way (it’s stinkin’ adorable) until his own snoring wakes him up, or until it’s time for his afternoon fetch session! <br/><br/>This little guy is very punctual — he never misses a meal or chance to go outside. He thrives with a structured schedule with a healthy balance between physical activity and mental enrichment to keep him balanced. If you love a good routine, this is your dog. His chimpanzee-like whines are more effective than an alarm clock without a snooze button.<br/><br/>Currently, Manwich lives with a pack of chill, older dogs and loves their vibe. He an incredibly curious pup that likes to follow other dogs round and inspect everything they do like a little detective, always eager to be part of the action. Manwhich’s perfect doggy match would be an older, confident and tolerant dog who is moderately active and calm. Manwhich has not lived with cats, but isn’t overly excited in passing during walks or at the vet office. <br/><br/>Although Manwich is a young, spritely guy, all he really wants is to is be with his people. This is a dog that forms a special bond with his person, and is especially fond of his foster mom, though he has no issues with men. He loves to be held like a baby and wants nothing more than to snuggle with his person. He is a HUGE love bug with an extremely sweet disposition. Per his foster mom, Manwhich’s amazing super power is always knowing when someone is sad or stressed, and quickly coming to offer comfort in the form of canine companionship. Manwhich is one of the most emotionally intelligent dogs we’ve encountered. Despite his shortcomings (mostly in the form of chewed up flip flops and one shredded feather-filled pillow), what this dog had to offer is the love of a lifetime and a bond that simply cannot be explained in words alone. That kind of love isn’t easy to find in life, much less in the search for a canine companion. If any of this resonates with you, then you might have found your heart dog.
