Meet Mandie
Mandie is a gorgeous girl, not quite 2 years old, and 11 lbs.. She is now interviewing for her Forever Home, preferably within an hours drive of Ukiah, CA (Northern California). Her beautiful coat of hair is very thick and dense, but it’s best to keep her in a puppy cut since she’s not fond of being brushed.
She is a love bug who has so much to give, and she loves to snuggle. She gets along with other dogs and cats, but would thrive being someone’s one and only. Mandie is flirtacious and full of energy. She loves to go on walks.
Mandi really prefers women. She is extremely cautious with men, as she has been abused in the past. She needs the love and comfort of a woman in her life. It would be best if that mom(s) is either retired or works from home. She is a bit energetic to be left home alone for a full workday.
Making sure to have treats on hand when new people visit. That will win her over. She needs someone with patience and positive reinforcement training methods. She will snap when she is surprised or feels threatened. Please plan to work with a behaviorist or trainer to help her overcome her reactive behavior. She is not recommended for homes with children, or where children visit.
