Meet Maize -- a sweet and affectionate 6-year-old Mastiff mix searching for her forever home. Maize was surrendered to the shelter through no fault of her own and is now hoping to find a loving family to give her the second chance she deserves.<br/><br/>Maize is spayed, vaccinated, and previously lived in a home with another dog. She does need to be separated during feeding times due to food aggression, so a family experienced with managing mealtime routines would be ideal. She has not been around children or cats.<br/><br/>Despite the changes in her life, Maize remains incredibly friendly, loving, and people-oriented. She enjoys attention and companionship and is ready to become a loyal best friend to the right home.

Rock Springs Animal Control's Adoption Policy

Our adoption fees are as follows: $80.00 for dogs/puppies of any age $20.00 for any cat over 1 yr of age $40.00 for any cat under 1 yr of age All animals will be spayed or neutered and be up to date on vaccinations before they go to their new homes. We perform all of our adoptions by an application process. This process is to ensure a pet ends up in a forever home as well as ensuring all laws and regulations are being obeyed and that the animal will not be returned to Animal Control due to lack of foresight. You are more than welcome to come down to the shelter during business hours and take a look at the animals we do have. They deserve the chance to have a loving home! We are open from 10 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday (Closed weekends and holidays)

Our Mission

We are the Animal Control facility for the city of Rock Springs and Sweetwater County. The animals displayed may not all be adoptable, some may be on a 5 day stray hold. If you are missing a pet, be sure to give us a call or visit the shelter during business hours.
