Maggie-Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix(mix is known)-female-spayed-8 months-80 pounds. Meet Maggie! Maggie is a big, beautiful Livestock Guardian Dog who is looking for a home that understands her genetic instincts and needs. She came to CCHS because she didn't get along with the Border Collie in her previous home, but she has met another dog here and was interested in playing. Like many LGDs, Maggie may be a dog who is friendly off-territory but prefers not to share her home turf with other dogs. LGDs are bred to protect their space and livestock from predators, and as they mature, many become less tolerant of unfamiliar dogs in their territory. To our knowledge, Maggie has not been bonded with livestock before. Maggie is housetrained, crate trained, enjoys toys, and knows a few basic commands.
