Meet Maggie

From what we can decipher on sweet Maggie is she was most likely a hunting dog, turned out because she no longer could hunt or the fact she had become pregnant. This tender-hearted girl came to us very, very pregnant but emaciated all at the same time. She gave birth to 12, yes 12, beautiful puppies and cared for them tirelessly. She was devoted to their every need and because of her selfless attention the entire litter thrived, was adopted and now have families of their own. Since that time this lovely Walker Hound has been in some extremely loving and nurturing foster homes where she has learned to be someone's companion. She walks great on a leash, is quiet in her crate and completely housebroken. We do feel like she'd do best in a home with another dog, preferably one around her size, as she loves to run and play. She also really needs a fenced-in backyard as her hound blood runs deep and she loves to sniff! Maggie is beautiful inside and out. She asks for very little (although she loves scrambled eggs mixed with her kibble) but gives so much in return. This stunningly beautiful girl will make someone a first-rate mate, and while she has spent time with some really wonderful humans, she is ready to transition to her forever home. Could you be the one to end Maggie’s search? There is a whole team at the farm cheering for this girl. Could you be the one to give her the happily ever after she so deserves? If interested in meeting Maggie, please fill out an adoption application today!

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their shots, are on heart worm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a foster home and potential adoptee.

The Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from the Petfinder Homepage or our new website at www.savinggracenc.org or by clicking on the links below: Click here to download an adoption request today. Click here to download an adoption contract. Click to see our events! Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
