Maeve Mixed Breed Chestertown, MD

Maeve was relinquished to rescue when her family felt they were unable to give her the training she needs to live quietly with their cats. We have found that Maeve wants and needs a playmate, and cats will do in a pinch. She has been polite and sweet with our cats, though has sometimes been a little overly enthusiastic with play interest.

Maeve is a classic young mix in need of rules, parameters, training, and LOTS of good stuff to fill her head. She is housebroken, crate trained, walks reasonably on leash, and does own some commands. Anyone interested in adopting Maeve should be prepared to train and bend her brain.

Maeve is great with other dogs once she knows them, but is very shy on initial greeting, and needs time to warm up.

Dogs that have not lived previously with children will not be offered to homes where young children reside. We do not 'test' dogs with children or cats, since testing may not show an accurate picture, and may give false comfort to their new home. If a dog has lived with children or cats, that will be stated above.
