Gentle, loving, and endlessly kind. We think she may have a little boxer in her, but one thing we’re absolutely certain of—she is 100% pure kindness wrapped up as a dog.<br/>?? As a rural shelter serving a large intake population, we work diligently to create positive outcomes for every adoptable animal through active networking, community outreach, and partnerships with rescue organizations that help expand placement opportunities. Our adoption program is designed to support both animals and adopters by encouraging thoughtful, successful matches. We take time to connect with potential adopters to better understand their lifestyle, household, experience, and what they are looking for in a companion animal. Based on that conversation, we share recommendations to help identify the best fit for both the adopter and the pet. This process helps improve long-term success and reduces the likelihood of an animal being returned during the adjustment period. Benefits of adopting through Chester County Animal Control include: • Staycation Program – After selecting your “furever” pet, adopters may take the animal home for a 10-day trial period to ensure the pet adjusts well to the home, family members, and other animals. • Peace of Mind – All adoptable animals receive initial age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies when required. • Essential Veterinary Care – Animals are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption whenever possible. • Behavior and Health Review – Each animal’s physical condition and temperament are assessed to help support informed adoption decisions.
