Meet Madea
Madea
8-10yr old cane Corso mix.
She is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, and a weight gain program. She is a sweet gentle girl that would love her very own couch to snore on. She is not good with dogs or cats and has a high prey drive. She loves all people that she meets and is good with children. She is currently at our boarding kennel due to a shortage in foster homes, but goes out with one of our volunteers for day trips. She is clean and quiet in the kennel and in the home, and is a real joy to have around. She loves being with her people and will become your shadow pretty quickly. She enjoys car rides and walks, but her stamina is still being built up so she can't do long walks yet. Madea would do best in a home that her people are around most of the time as she does love company. She will require a crate to keep her safe when you are away.
Madea will be adoptable with a medical contract for her heartworm treatment, which will be covered by the rescue at our vet.
She has been vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm treated, spayed, and treated with Nexgard and heartgard.
She came to us as an unclaimed stray from a local animal shelter
