Mac *permanent foster home needed*

Mac is an 7 year old shepherd/laborador mix, who is desperately looking for a permanent foster home. He is sweet and mellow, once he is allowed to trust you and has time to decompress. After that happens, he will come up to you, looking for head pets, on his own! He loves to spend his afternoons relaxing outside and chasing bumble bees :). Mac gets stressed in new situations and with new people, so we are looking for a quiet home with someone who is experienced working with fearful and reactive dogs. A permanent foster would be Mac's forever home, but the rescue would pay for all vet care.<br/>He loves his crate, especially with an open door, and does not get into things that are left out. He is great with house training and will go to the door. He walks so well on the leash, with no pulling. He does not jump up on people but will bark at new people. It’s best for strangers not to pet him, as he may snarl or snap. He is highly treat motivated and knows sit, come/ treat and wait. A smart doggy! He’s unknown with cats and kids and has met dogs and does with a slow introduction. Mac would most likely do best with teens and adults.
