Mabel Australian Shepherd Elk River, MN

Mabel is a 9 year old spayed/housebroken Red Tri female. She loves people's affection, is very intelligent, wants to learn new agility tricks and is happiest on a trail walk. She's eager to please, very food motivated and has never chewed items. She is clicker trained and is good on the leash with an occasional reminder not to pull. She is up for adoption because her loving family now has two rambunctious toddlers and Mabel is finding it to be a very stressful situation. A calmer environment where she can get the adult pats and belly rubs she loves will be the best setting for her to live out her golden years. She doesn't like dogs so would do best as an only dog. She's never been around cats but no cats would likely be best as well. She would be good with older children (10 yrs and up). She comes from a loving and secure home and will be missed dearly!
