Lulu

This sweet little girl is Lulu, a 1 year-old Basenji mix. We believe her other breeds in her DNA could be Min Pin and/or Chihuahua. The mixture makes for a very athletic, high energy pup that will give you hours of play if you give her the opportunity. She loves playing fetch, and will actually bring the toy back to you. Now, you may have to wrestle the toy out of her mouth, but at least you won't have to chase her around to get it. Lulu does well on a leash and will be a great companion on long walks or short runs. Have other dogs in your home? Not a problem. She does well with other dogs, but does need to be separated during feeding. A common trait with small dogs, but something you should be vigilant about. Lulu is also crate trained, and sleeps well in her crate all night. Although we know she'll make a great family pet, we don't believe she is a good fit around children under 3 years. She can be a little rambunctious and mouthy during play, which is not well received by little ones who are not able to control her behavior.<br/>Lulu was surrendered to us. The mark on her back is from a chemical burn (unknown circumstances). A Vet exam confirmed this and that the fur will never grow back, but there are no long term issues from it, and she shows no signs of any physical abuse. Lulu is a very happy, energetic lady. <br/>Lulu is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations for 1 year. The adoption fee is $50 plus $20 for the microchip registration fee.<br/>If you are interested in Lulu, contact the staff at the LaVerkin Animal Shelter for an appointment to meet her.
