Meet Luke aka "Roscoe"
Luke is a handsome, white scruffy guy. Luke was abandoned during Hurricane Harvey. He and his sister Daisy were left in a flooded home without food or water. He was very timid at first, but has bonded well with his foster family. He needs an understanding family that will continue to work with him. Who wouldn't be shy and fearful after that experience???? He has really come a long way! He has become much more confident and has learned basic commands such as “sit”. Luke is also house trained and crate trained.
He loves to play with his toys, play fetch and go on walks. He walks very nicely on a leash but will bark at strangers and other dogs. In the evening, he likes to snuggle on the couch. Luke sleeps in bed tucked up against his foster mom and likes to wake her up in the morning when he is ready for breakfast and a potty break. He would do well in a home with another small(ish) dog who he could play with.
Luke would be the perfect addition for an active adult home possibly with another fur sibling. He is not recommended for a home with children under 12. Also, he has not been cat tested.
He does not try to escape from foster family as he loves them, but would likely do this out of fear in new surroundings and would try to chase after cats, squirrels, rabbits etc. Luke is highly treat and food motivated.
He is fixed, microchipped, fully vaccinated.
Adoption fee $300
