Meet Lucy
Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal is the only licensed senior dog rescue organization in Western Pennsylvania. We do not have a shelter or a public facility. ALL of our dogs reside in foster homes in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.
We are a 100% volunteer organization. Please respect our volunteers' time. If a dog is listed on PetFinder, he/she IS available for adoption. We cannot reply to messages, phone calls, and emails about a dog until we have received, reviewed, and approved an adoption application.
Our ADOPTION application is found at www.seniorhearts.org Completing this application is the first step in our adoption screening process. You MUST complete the application in its entirety in order to be considered as a potential adopter. Please select "More About Us" for further details on our adoption requirements. You can meet a dog ONLY after we have completed our adoption approval process.

Hello, Lucy here! I am a 10-year young beagle mix looking for her furever family. I can be shy at first, but once I warm up I will be attached to my furever people. I will focus all of my time and energy on making sure I know where you are at every moment. I love hugs and cuddles and will be your shadow. All I need is love, attention, and some blankets to snuggle into...I like to burrow. I get along with older lower energy dogs and I am very intrigued by cats, so a cat or dog sibling would be great to hang with.
My wonderful personality will make you laugh with my side-eye glances and silly characteristics.
I am working on a huge weight loss journey. I’ve made a lot of progress but my née family must be committed to keeping me moving, making me go on walks and helping me lose another 10 pounds.
I can be adopted within a two-hour radius of Pittsburgh, PA. If you are interested in giving me a furever home, you must first complete the adoption application at www.seniorhearts.org
