Louie is a neutered male Yellow Labrador Retriever mix who was born September 1, 2021. He is a bundle of energy and that is true of most retrievers. He is great with kids and dogs. Usually, puppies are good with cats, but that is an unknown for Louie as he has had no contact with them.

He will be between 40-45 lbs. when fully grown. His coloring is cream. Louie can be a bit bossy so he could use a dog-savvy adopter. As you can see from his pictures, he is a cutie!

All ARRF adoptees will have up-to-date shots, be microchipped, and will have been spayed/neutered when they become adoptable. Generally speaking, puppies should be good with gentle children, dogs, and cats. Of course, all puppies will need to be housetrained.

Puppies need more attention than mature dogs, so prospective adopters should have someone either at home during the day or be able to make frequent visits during the day. Adopters must agree to go to positive reinforcement classes to make sure that these youngsters can "be all the dog that they can be." In addition to the adoption fee, ARRF will collect a $50 deposit refundable upon proof of graduation from a class within six months of adoption.
