Meet Louie
Meet Louie!
Louie is a 2 y.o. loveable goofball who loves everyone and everything and thinks life is one big party! Louie is friendly, loving, playful, goofy…he could be a Disney character! He is a bit of a klutz and thinks he is very graceful!
Louie came to us without any obedience but is currently in training to learn manners. He is super smart and learns quickly. Obedience training is a big game to Louie and he loves learning new behaviors!
Louie lived with a child, but we don’t know how much interaction they had. We don’t see him having any issues with small children except that his size and exuberance may knock them over. If the parents set the rules for both Louie and the kids AND enforce them, we don’t foresee any problems. Families with small children will be considered on a case by case basis.
Louie lived with another GSD and we feel with slow proper introductions he would be fine with another dog. But, like people, he may not like every dog. He has never been exposed to cats, so we don’t know how he would react. Even if he did well with cats, he may play too rough for their liking.
Louie’s perfect family would be active, include him in as many activities as possible and keep his brain occupied with training. Louie is not super high energy but he’s not a couch potato either. Both his brain and body need to be worked or this boy will find something to keep himself occupied that may not be to your liking. If you want more fun in your life, Louie may be the guy for you.
Adopters will be required to attend obedience training classes with Louie, so he can also become familiar with a new handler and promote bonding with that handler.
Louie is UTD on vaccinations and microchipped. Louie will be neutered.
