MEET LORI

Looking for a sweet, gorgeous girl to share your life with? Lori, a 1-year-old, Labrador Retriever mix is the perfect addition to any family! She is a medium-sized dog that weighs approximately 43 pounds, and her coat is the most enviable shade of yellow/blonde and white. Lori has beautiful dark eyes and the happiest grin…it’s hard not to be drawn in by her sweet disposition and beautiful face!

Lori's a loved dog, and while wanted, can no longer stay with her family. She loves playing with other dogs, from her old pal the tiny terrier to the big husky at the dog park. She is outgoing, protective, but often is submissive with other dogs during play. She will bark at strangers entering the house, but will just as easily lay down for belly rubs. She loves playing outside all day and playing fetch with pinecones. She can run like crazy and when she's all worn out, she'll happily lay down for cuddles. She loves to be the little spoon at bedtime. Besides cuddling, inside she likes to rustle and tussle with her brother, go to town on a chew toy, and annoy her cat siblings. She needs a bit of work when it comes to barking at strangers or trucks by the road, but she has the basics down. She knows the commands sit, down, stay, wait, crate, leave it, go potty, speak and be quiet. Her party trick is catching flies or unwanted bugs in the house. Just say bug and she'll go on the hunt. She loves kids but would do better in a home without small children because of her rough and tumble personality. She needs a dog friend to play with or an owner dedicated to long daily playtime and walks to wear her out. She was much happier and better behaved after she had a companion.

Lori will need a fenced yard if left outside unattended at all, but she is not to be a strictly outside dog – she is far too social to be left alone and she wants to be with her people and other dogs. Lori would be wonderful for someone with another dog already that likes to play, or someone who is retired and spends lots of time at home. She has been fine with all the dogs she has been tested with so far. We have started on her crate training, and Lori is up to date on her vet care, is heartworm negative, is microchipped, and has been spayed. She is on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

Gorgeous, young, energetic, fun, and loving…what more could anyone want? Our sweet Lori is the perfect girl and would be great fit for an active family looking to add adventurous and cuddly companion!
