Loki

Loki is a gentle, sensitive boy who simply needs a little time to feel safe and comfortable. Once he realizes he is with a kind person, his sweet personality begins to shine. With a calm approach, Loki relaxed enough to sit and lie beside his handler, enjoy gentle head and back scratches, take treats politely, and show off his “sit” and “shake.”<br/><br/>Loki appears to have limited vision (the shelter is aware of his cherry eye), so he does best when people speak softly, let him know they are nearby, and approach him slowly and predictably. He may stare for longer periods because of his vision impairment, but this should not automatically be interpreted as threatening. He may also have some discomfort involving his hips or lower back, so these areas should be handled gently and avoided until he can be medically evaluated.<br/><br/>Loki has not yet been properly dog-tested at the shelter, and because he arrived as a stray, we do not know his history with other dogs, cats, or children. He is also not yet neutered.
