Linus's Story

Although he doesn't carry around a blanket like his namesake, Linus has the same delightfully hopeful outlook on life! Despite the neglectful situation he came from, Linus keeps a smile on his face and puts a smile on yours! Given his Doxie genes, he's a bit longer than you may expect but it sure does add to his adorable and loving personality!

We guesstimate Linus to be around 1.5-2 years old and is a small dude at around 10lbs. He came to us just slightly underweight but it will be VERY important to maintain his slim and lean figure to protect his long spine. Linus has come out of his shell quickly and has found endless comfort in his foster humans. His true miniature Poodle side has shown and he has certainly become a shadow. He loves to be with his people but also shares his home and space fantastically with kitties and other dogs of all sizes! He's made many friends and is a respectful, easy going guy.

Linus loves to cuddle and sneak in some kisses when he's feeling extra grateful for all the love! He enjoys car rides and strolls through the neighborhood but is no high energy guy. He's crate trained and potty trained...what a dude! He's quick to learn the routine and ultimately wants to please his people. He's the kind of guy who likes to say hello to new friends when out running errands but bonds to his family and doesn't stray far. He will adapt quickly to new situations, as long as he has some reassurance and lots of love to guide him. Linus will need routine grooming like all dogs his breed. He did very well with the groomer but was nervous about his face...rightfully so since he was one giant mat and many of the mats were painful and very close to the skin. His coat is starting to grow out and we know he feels like a whole new dog, just waiting to find his new family!

Linus's adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, heartworm/tick borne illness testing, vaccines, dewormings and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. If you're needing a little dog as your security blanket, reach out to us or submit an adoption application! Linus is ready!
