Meet Liddy

Intake date 29 October 2022
.
young adult spayed female mix
.
Liddy came to us as part of a 'red alert' shelter pull where she had been picked up as a stray and was unclaimed.
.
Liddy is super sweet and connected, but can be slow to warm up and prefers to take it slow. Her leach walking skills are on point, she rides really nicely in the car (crated), likes her crate, and is an easy keeper.
.
At just 30lbs, Liddy is a really nice size -- not a little and not a big. Perfect companion dog size, and a nice size to slide in with other pups, no matter their size.
.
Liddy is nicely biddable and picks up routine quickly, though does have some drive that will need to be modified in normal living situations and corrects off easily with a verbal admonishment.
.
For those who have been around for a while, she is very similar in size and temperament to MABCR Emmy, who lived here at the farm for nearly 20 years. Liddy will make someone a really tremendous companion.
.
This dog is located in Maryland - we do not ship or transport dogs. For information on adoption, an FAQ, and our application, please see our website at mabcr.org. If you are interested in adoption, please submit an application, complete with documentation.
.
Dogs that have not lived previously with children will not be offered to homes where young children reside. We do not 'test' dogs with children or cats, since testing will not show an accurate picture, and may give false comfort to their new home. If a dog has lived with children or cats, that will be stated above. We do not place dogs as ESA, nor will we place a dog as hypo-allergenic. Applicants interested in adoption of a potential service dog must be working with an experienced trainer.
.
Please note that some young dogs may be placed with a medical deposit and contract, and any available dog may be placed with a training deposit and contract -- this would be noted on offer, prior to placement. For additional information on these policies, please see our website.
