Lexi 3576's Story

05/29/26. Welcome Lexi! Please help us welcome Lexi, a sweet 5-year-old Doberman girl who was found as a stray in Miami. She was brought to a shelter and then made her way to us.

Sadly, it looks like Lexi may have spent much of her life being used for breeding before being discarded and left to fend for herself on the streets. Now, her future is looking much brighter.

Lexi has recently been spayed and is settling into rescue life. While we’re still getting to know her, one thing is already clear: this lovely girl has a wonderful temperament and a kind, gentle nature. Despite everything she’s been through, she’s been nothing but sweet with everyone she meets.

For now, Lexi’s focus is on healing and recovering from her surgery. Once she’s fully recovered, we’ll be able to do a more thorough evaluation and learn more about her personality, likes, and needs.

We’re excited to watch this deserving girl blossom, and we can’t wait to share updates as we get to know her better. Welcome to the DRL family, Lexi—you’re safe now.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
Foster Application Adoption Application
