****We are Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S) – Stephenville, TX - We are a small, foster based animal rescue, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, based out of Stephenville, TX. We work to rehabilitate and rehome unwanted cats and dogs in Stephenville and surrounding towns. We have recently expanded our scope to include Hamilton County, TX and are currently working with the City of Hamilton and the Hico Police Department to find loving foster and permanent homes for dogs that have been abandoned and have ended up in the Hamilton Pound or the Hico Animal Shelter. <br/> Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S.)’s mission is to sponsor low cost spay/neuter and wellness exams, provide community education and provide food and supplies to those in need. We also do our best to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, or abused animals. Our animals are vaccinated and on preventatives. This 3-year-old Catahoula mix is a showstopper with his unique beige coat and subtle leopard-print undertones. But behind that handsome exterior is a gentle, sensitive soul who is just looking for a place to belong.<br/><br/>🛡️ A Little Shy, A Lot of Loyal<br/>Larry hasn’t had the easiest start in life, so he’s a bit of a "slow burn." He might be timid when you first meet, but don’t let that fool you. Once he realizes you’re one of the "good ones," he transforms into a total love bug. He is especially fond of his female friends (both human and canine!) and once he trusts you, he’ll be flipping over for his favorite thing in the world: the ultimate belly rub.<br/><br/>Why Larry is the Perfect Partner:<br/>The Ultimate Outdoor Buddy: Whether you’re a jogger, a hiker, or just a backyard enthusiast, Larry is ready. He does great on a leash and would thrive running around a fenced yard where he can stretch those athletic legs.<br/><br/>A Polite Roommate: Larry plays beautifully with the other dogs at the shelter (he's currently a favorite among the ladies!). He has a calm demeanor and hasn't shown a strong prey drive, though he’d appreciate a proper introduction to cats or tiny pups.<br/><br/>Gentle with Kids: He has done well with older children who understand his "safety first" approach to meeting new people.<br/><br/>The "Total Package": He’s the perfect mix of an active adventure partner and a quiet, affectionate house dog.<br/><br/>📋 The Vitals:<br/>Age: ~3 years old (The best age—past the puppy chewing, ready for life!)<br/><br/>Social: Great with other dogs; prefers a slightly slower introduction to new people.<br/><br/>Health: Neutered, heartworm negative, and fully up to date on all vaccines.<br/><br/>Larry is far too good of a dog to be spending his days behind a kennel door.
